All workshops run from 10.00am - 4.00pm, unless otherwise stated.
The cost includes refreshments, lunch and materials. 
Maximum number is 10, unless otherwise stated.
To reserve a place on any of the workshops below please download the relevant booking form and send with a deposit of £10 to Threads of Life. 
A card payment over the phone is possible as an alternative to a cheque.  Please note that full payment is due 4 weeks prior to the date of the workshop.

A morning when you can try out a small project using yarn of your choice from the shop, up to the value of £15. Come and sample some of the lovely yarns you might not normally buy for bigger projects.

Professional Finishing
Full day workshop led by Emma King
Saturday 18th February
Don't be put off by the word 'professional'! This is a chance to learn, or improve the skills you need to give your hand-knitted projects a neat and satisfying finish. The course is suitable for intermediate and experienced knitters.  New knitters must have knowledge of the basic techniques.

An introduction to spindling

The workshop will introduce you to the skills and terminology of an ancient craft that is still thriving today, and give you an insight into the basis of all yarns.

Introduction to crochet

Crochet is back in fashion, and there are some lovely patterns for summer garments, as well as it being a useful technique for edgings and accessories.  The workshop is for beginners, or those getting back into crochet after a break.

‘Knit-in’ in the shop on Wednesday afternoons, 2.00- 4.00pm
Just come and bring your knitting for a couple of hours, and have a chat as well as doing a bit of trouble-shooting (if necessary) or learn a new technique. . £5 per session will include light refreshments and good company.  Beginners welcome.
